I wanted to say I really like the aesthetic of your site! Also, I was thinking for TM.O, maybe you could compile a list of relevant links on each sidebar page while you're still setting up everything else? I figured that, even if really basic, it would inspire people to come back to the site rather than just seeing that everything is empty then leave.

You can set the guestbook background to transparent in settings. It makes it look funny at the direct link (https://xavierhm.atabook.org/) but I just pop the iframes into styled containers, so I don't have the direct link anywhere.

I've not dipped into the cerebral post-modern character narratives lately I'm super into extreme horror which ain't everyone's cup of tea, but I read Chuck Palahniuk's book Invention of Sound last year and it was really cool, I love all of his stuff. since you like Catch 22 you'll like him probably. Choke is another good one by him.
Yeah Spiderland is a masterpiece. Haven't heard of hella, I'll check 'em out. Funny you put Nirvana's Unplugged as your fave -- that CD has been in my car for about two weeks now, playing it non stop lol.

My music taste is due to my mental illness lol. Depression leads you down some esoteric soundscapes.
I'm listening to self-ish rn, only on the first track but I like it a lot so far, very vibe-y. It's giving Bon Jovi (Piano Man style) + Rufus Wainwright + Tom Lehrer. You should check out The Masochism Tango by Tom Lehrer if you haven't heard it yet!
